ABOUT Qube
Qube is a social enterprise whose mission is to change the world, one brick at a time. Qube is a team of four budding entrepreneurs, Abhishek Banerjee, Agnimitra Sengupta, Ankan Podder and Utsav Bhattacharyya. The company is currently developing construction bricks made out of plastic waste, thus addressing the issue of plastic waste disposal and also empowering the workers subjected to abysmal working condition in the traditional burnt-clay brick sector in India. In a short span of time, Qube was selected among top 400 startups out of 15,000 applicants across India in Smart 50 organised by the Department of Science & Technology of India and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Innovation Park, and among 57 startup ideas in Youth for Business Competition (Y4Biz), an initiative by US Consulate Kolkata with learning opportunity at IC² Institute, The University of Texas at Austin.
